SUSTAINABILITY
Ecosystem Regeneration

Shrimp aquaculture is notorious for clearing huge areas of land for its activities. Alune employs more intensive farming practices that require significantly less land.
The effluent at the end of a shrimp cycle can be extremely high in nitrates which when released into waterways can cause significant damage. Alune uses no chemicals during production and biologically treats all effluent water in runoff ponds before it is released.
Through these two important farming methods, we minimise our environmental impacts and make previously damaged ecosystems available for regeneration.
